Mehmet DEMIREZEN holds a MA degree in linguistics from University of Texas at Austin-USA and a PhD in linguistics from Hacettepe University. He has been working as a professor of linguistics and English language education since 1998. His research areas are teacher education, educational and applied phonetics and phonology, vocabulary teaching, educational linguistics, teaching pronunciation and intonation, teaching writing, and translation studies in the field of foreign language teaching. He is a teacher educator and is also an ELT consultant. Also, he taught spoken English, teaching writing, and English syntax at Kapadokya University in the Department of Translation and Interpreting, Ürgüp-Nevşehir. Presently, he is teaching MA and PhD courses at Hacettepe University, the department of ELT.
